Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Little Red Riding Hood. She lived in a small village surrounded by a dense forest. One day, her mother asked her to take some delicious cakes and a bottle of wine to her grandmother who was feeling unwell.
Little Red set off happily through the woods, wearing her red hooded cape. On her way, she met a cunning wolf who greeted her. The wolf noticed how young and naive she was, so he decided to play a trick on her. He asked where she was going and what she had in her basket. Little Red told him all about her journey and her grandmother's house.
The wolf then suggested that she pick some flowers along the way since it was such a beautiful day. Little Red thought this was a wonderful idea and began gathering flowers, leaving the path to her grandmother's house unguarded.
While Little Red was distracted, the wolf hurried ahead to the grandmother's house. He knocked on the door pretending to be Little Red. When the grandmother opened it, the wolf swallowed her whole! Then he hid in her bed, waiting for Little Red to arrive.
When Little Red finally reached her grandmother's house, she found the wolf disguised as her grandmother. "What big ears you have!" she said. "All the better to hear you with," replied the wolf. "What big eyes you have!" she continued. "All the better to see you with," answered the wolf. This went on until Little Red noticed something unusual.
"What large teeth you have!" cried Little Red. At this point, the wolf leapt out of bed and chased after her. Just then, a woodcutter passing by heard the commotion and rushed to help. With the woodcutter's quick thinking, they managed to save Little Red and free her grandmother from the wolf's stomach.
From that day on, Little Red learned never to talk to strangers or stray from the path. And everyone lived happily ever after.
This timeless tale teaches us important lessons about safety and vigilance while reminding us of the courage within each one of us.
